Dr. Charles Lagu

COORDINATOR – EAST AFRICA

Dr. Charles Lagu, is a PhD holder, a Ugandan aged 39 years old. I am Veterinarian, Research Scientist and Community Development Planner, Manager, leader and Mobilizer with key interests in seeing vulnerable persons uplift their standards of living through Livestock farming along the value chains in a profitable manner. Dr. Charles Lagu has over 12 years of Agriculture Research, Extension and development experience at managerial level. I was head of Veterinary Unit Obongi County was head of Livestock production Mbarara ZARDI, and now Zonal NAADS Coordinator (ZNC).

I acted as Director Mba ZARDI from 1st June, 2011 to 15th September, 2011. I have strong background on poverty focus, rural development. I have very strong leadership skills backed up with high qualification at post graduate level in Public Administration and Management at Uganda Management Institute (UMI) (One of the best participants in the 2007/2008 academic year). Dr. Lagu has undertaken training on several short courses and also published many scientific peer reviewed journal articles including a book.
